A Conversation with Body

poetry festival finalist IN Collaboration WITH eres.

When I’m not producing for networks or campaigns, I’m pouring into projects like this—ones that start from community, vulnerability, and a desire to create something meaningful. A Conversation with Body was just that: a visual poem born from collaboration, trust, and artistry.

I served as Producer, coordinating all logistics, securing the location, and holding space for the production process. On set, I also acted as Second Camera, helping capture moments that felt as raw as the poem itself. I worked closely with Gabriel—who also served as the editor—to help shape the emotional arc of the video and ensure Massiel’s voice was fully honored in the final piece.

This piece came to life through eres., in partnership with director Gabriel Noble, who was looking to expand his portfolio with an open call giveaway. The winner? Massiel Alfonso, a talented poet and writer whose submitted piece was deeply personal, intimate, and powerful. From there, we built something together. It was also selected as a Finalist for the Black & Brown Femme Films Poetry Festival 2025, an honor that speaks to its creative integrity and emotional impact.

This project is one of several poetic works I’ve produced, and it’s the kind that reminds me why I do what I do. It wasn’t about hitting a deadline or fulfilling a client brief—it was about honoring someone’s truth and giving their story a cinematic home. And those are the pieces that stay with you.
